Le Lieu du Design’s mission is to support the designer profession and assist small business with their design and eco-design integration process.

To this end, a designer directory is available on-line on Le Lieu du Design’s Internet site. It is provided free of charge to firms who wish to use a designer’s services.

Le Lieu du Design’s vocation is to help designers who want to create their own structure, advise them on legal, financial, and technological issues, and direct them towards existing support and assistance networks in the Paris region.

Moreover, it provides designers with documentary resources: a national and international document database covering 700 works, reviews, magazines, CDs. It organizes Information Days and training sessions as well as conferences and workshops.

It implements a specialized watch program (technical, technological, economic, sociological, including calls for bids and competitions...).

It maintains a resource directory: eco-design experts, prototypists, industrial property agents...

As designers are not only service providers but also project developers in their own right, Le Lieu du Design assists with their development as it assists firms: advice, bridge building, and assistance with building the appropriate project team (prototypists, design bureaus, eco-design experts, laboratories, legal services, publishers...), directions to financiers and professional organizations.
